Silent footfalls
In her unsuspecting heart -
Scarlet flush on pristine white.

Hope - Part II

Ecstatic eyes gaze
Into starry nights,
And wonder...
As unequivocally,
Life reinforces hope!

Weary eyes gaze
Into forlorn nights,
And ponder...
As tortuously,
Life disparages hope!

Life goes on - An acrostic

Lousy days chase starless nights,
Inevitable fate lingers.
Facetious concerns bring wrinkles,
Eternities of wretchedness.

Great leaps turn into grinding halts,
One moment begets another.
Eons trickle past,
Surrender, to the inevitable-

One lifetime, gone in a flash;
Nothing changes in the end!!!

All I wanted

All I wanted, were
Tears to soothe; all I get -
Agonizing numbness.

Tears to soothe

I wait.
For the tears to come,
For the pain to ebb,
For the ache to disappear,
For my heart to heal.

All I'm left with;
All I'm privileged to have,
Is an agonizing numbness...

All I wanted;
Were a few
Tears to soothe.

First rain - A haiku

Scorching sun, parched throat
Sweaty hands and broken heart;
Your love - first raindrops.
